0:00Orders change after they're entered: a customer adds a PO number, something becomes a rush, and once in a while an order goes away entirely. In this video, we'll edit an order, bump its priority, and cancel one the right way — with the stock released back automatically.
0:18Here's an entered order for Bluegrass Industrial. While it's still in Entered status, everything about it stays editable — that's the review window before the warehouse gets involved.
0:29Click Edit. The customer just called with their PO number, so let's add it — and they need this quickly, so priority goes to Rush. There's room for special instructions too; the warehouse sees these on the pick list.
0:43Save Changes, and the order reflects all three updates. One detail worth knowing: if you start editing and try to leave without saving, ConsignTrak warns you — half-finished edits don't silently disappear.
0:58For priority alone, you don't even need the edit page — there's an inline control down by the history, handy when the phone call is just "make it a rush."
1:08Now the harder call: the customer cancelled. Click Cancel — and click again to confirm, because this one matters: cancelling releases the committed quantities straight back to available stock. No manual cleanup, no stranded reservations.
1:24The status pill reads Cancelled, and the order stays on file — cancelled orders are history, not deletions. If the supply partner ever asks what happened, the whole story is still here.
1:37One last lifecycle step you'll meet later: once an order has shipped, a Close button retires it from the active queues. Entered, released, shipped, closed — with edit and cancel available exactly when they should be, and never when they shouldn't.
