0:00Every person who touches ConsignTrak gets their own account — because on consignment, "who did this?" always needs an answer. In this video, we'll add a new warehouse team member and look at the security controls an administrator has.
0:15Administration lives under your avatar, top right. Settings, users, API keys — the quiet corner of the app where the office keeps the keys.
0:26The user list shows each person's role, and roles are the whole permission story: Admin runs the system, Office enters and releases orders, Warehouse Worker gets the floor tools, and Supply Partner users see only their own portal. Nobody gets more screen than their job needs.
0:44Let's add Casey, who's starting on the floor Monday. Invite user — name, username, email, and the role: Warehouse Worker.
0:53Set a starting password — Casey can change it on first sign-in — and create the account. That's it: by Monday morning, Casey signs in on a phone and sees the pick queue, nothing else.
1:06Open a user and the deeper controls appear. The supply-partner scope is a big one: restrict an account to one partner, and every list, report, and API call it makes is filtered to that partner's data — enforced by the server, not the screen.
1:22And below, the safety levers: deactivate an account the day someone leaves, reset two-factor if a phone is lost, unlock after too many bad tries, or set a new password. Each destructive one asks you to click twice — deliberate, like everything else here.
