0:00Someone's on the phone asking if you have a part in stock. The old way was a paper card file, or asking whoever's been there longest. In ConsignTrak, the answer takes one search box and about five seconds — even when the caller reads the part number in their own peculiar way. Let's practice.
0:19The caller says: two twenty-two seventeen E K. No dashes, no spaces, run together. Type it exactly like that — and ConsignTrak finds the item anyway, because searches match on a normalized part number, not on punctuation.
0:35The filters narrow things down when a search is too broad. Scope to one supply partner, filter by category or location, or sort by what's moving fastest. The answer to "do we have it" and "whose is it" is the same screen.
